For more than a decade, John Lantz has excelled in the graphic design industry, serving as the owner of a freelance design services firm, JBL Graphics LLC, and a senior web designer and UX designer at Curran & Connors, Inc. since 2011 and 2013, respectively.

In the latter role, Mr. Lantz—wielding certifications in design reporting through the platform Workiva—researches, develops, and strategizes information architecture, user experience, and visual designs for numerous digital products, long collaborating with the company’s creative department to produce unique, innovative, and cohesive award-winning work. While he initially had limited direct interaction with clients early in his career, he has grown into a confident and consistent communicator, regularly engaging with clients.

Amid his myriad responsibilities, Mr. Lantz immerses himself in design work, communicates directly with clients through the building process, integrates their feedback, and shares research findings, conceptual ideas, and design rationale effectively with team members. Prior to this role, he launched his career as a web designer with MAXBURST, Inc., a New York City-based digital agency, where he, along with designers and programmers, built fully functional websites for various clients.

Mr. Lantz prepared for his professional journey by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Briarcliff College in 2012. Throughout his four years as a student, he was active as president of the Graphic Design Club, a member of the Future Business Leaders of America Club, and interns with the college’s Design Department.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Lantz strives to continue improving as a designer and become a better, more outspoken team player. Outside his primary endeavors, he lends his services to civic work, such as volunteering and building houses for Habitat for Humanity of Long Island.

John Lantz is recognized for his contributions to the web design industry

CENTER MORICHES, NY, December 19, 2025 — John Lantz has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mr. Lantz has established a distinguished career in digital design and user experience, marked by more than a decade of progressive responsibility and creative achievement. Since 2013, he has served as the senior web designer and user experience advisor at Curran & Connors, Inc., where he is recognized for his expertise in real-time client communication and collaborative design processes. In this capacity, Mr. Lantz manages live design sessions, integrating client feedback in real time while immersing himself in hands-on creative work. His responsibilities include developing information architecture, user experience strategies and visual designs for a diverse portfolio of digital products. He is also tasked with researching and strategizing during the information architecture and interaction design phases to optimize user experiences, effectively communicating research findings, conceptual ideas and design rationale to both clients and team members. Additionally, Mr. Lantz participates in user testing, builds wireframes and creates functional prototypes to meet project goals, collaborating closely with the creative department to produce innovative, award-winning work.

A significant milestone in Mr. Lantz’s professional journey has been the evolution of his client communication skills. Early in his career, he had limited direct interaction with clients; however, through dedication and experience, he has become a confident communicator who regularly engages with clients throughout the design process. He considers this transformation one of his most meaningful accomplishments.

In addition to his primary role at Curran & Connors, Inc., Mr. Lantz is also the owner of JBL Graphics LLC, where he has provided freelance design services since 2011. Through this venture, he has further honed his ability to balance minimal client communication with intensive hands-on design periods and to adapt to modern tools that enable interactive workflows.

Prior to these roles, Mr. Lantz was a web designer at Maxburst, Inc. from 2012 to 2013. During this period, he contributed to various web projects that required both technical proficiency and creative vision. His career began in 2011 as an intern in the Briarcliffe College Design Department, where he gained foundational graphic design experience in an academic setting.

Mr. Lantz’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Briarcliffe College in Bethpage, New York, earned in 2012. This academic achievement provided him with a strong foundation in visual communication and design principles that have been instrumental throughout his career. He has also pursued professional development through certifications such as Design Reporting: Using Workiva and InDesign from Workiva in 2022 and Design Reporting: Workiva, a Design Platform from Workiva in 2022.

He attributes much of his success to the supportive leadership at Curran & Connors, Inc., particularly the guidance of his supervisor, whose understanding and willingness to assist have been invaluable to his growth. Mr. Lantz also credits his family’s unwavering encouragement as a key factor in his achievements.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Lantz has in the past volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk County, where he contributed to building houses for those in need. He is also been involved in clothing and book donation initiatives that support local communities.

His creative excellence has been recognized with an award from Curran & Connors, Inc., underscoring his commitment to producing high-quality work.

Born on Long Island, Mr. Lantz enjoys playing PC games and previously golfed in his leisure time. Looking ahead, he aspires to continue improving as a designer, become more outspoken and further develop as a team player.
